Blue and
Pika—Dogs of The Month
My name is Blue.
I am two years old. They say I am a Pointer mix. My
favorite thing to do is to go running with my Dad. I started
coming to Four Paws in October of 2003. I enjoyed making new
friends and running in the field. I had to take a break
because the Doctor said my hips were bad so in February of 2004, I
had my first hip surgery. Two months later, I had my second
surgery. Those were hard times for me but even harder for my
Mom and Dad, who catered to me, worried, and helped me to make a
full recovery. I returned to Four Paws in July of 2004.
In September, my
folks brought home a new sister for me named Pika. They say she is a
Chihuahua mix. I like her but sometimes she tries to tell me what to
do. I like to do what I want. But I am a good big brother. Pika
joined me at Four Paws in January 2005. We come two days a week to
play with our friends. We like going to daycare even if they do
dress us up in funny clothes and take our picture all the time. I
still like running with my Dad the Best. Pika has to stay home with
Mom Ha-Ha. Here are some pictures of my sister, Pika. I've gotta admit she is pretty cute but
don't tell her I said so!
