What Is Agility
Agility is a fast
growing sport where people and their dogs compete as a team against
the clock while maneuvering through a course that takes the dog over
jumps, a-frames, and dog walks. Chutes, tunnels, teeter
totters, weave poles and tires add excitement and fun to the
challenge as the handler directs the dog using body language and
verbal commands.
Agility stimulates
your dog's mind while providing him with exercise. The sport
adds confidence to your dog's personality. While the dog tunes
in to body language and verbal commands, a deep and strong bond will
grow between handler and dog.
Beware---agility
is addicting to both dog and handler. It is hard to say who
will love it more, your dog or you.
Is Agility For You
and Your Dog?
Agility is a sport
for all breeds. Handlers range from juniors to seniors.
The major requirement is that you enjoy spending quality time with
your dog.
